“The housing inventory is running on empty,” the article goes on to say.  As a Laguna Beach real estate broker myself I see this in various neighborhoods and cities such as Laguna Niguel real estate, Laguna Beach real estate, Dana Point real estate, Newport Beach real estate, and San Clemente real estate.  Buyers are ready to buy homes for sale but can’t seem to find the houses for sale before someone else snatches them up.  We are even seeing multiple offers on homes for sale.  Many homeowners have been reluctant to put their house for sale on the market, thinking that buyers would only offer them a discounted amount-not fair value.  Well, it’s an exciting time now—one that we have perhaps been waiting for—real market activity instead of being stagnant.  Standard sales (where the homeowner has equity) are still easier transactions and preferred by many but with the lack of inventory, even the short sales are looking very attractive.  So, if you are a buyer, contact your realtor as they will be tracking “pocket listings” so you can be the first to see the home for sale and if you are a seller, no need to wait and see when the market will improve—it’s here!
