Buying a home, or real estate in California, is one of the most exciting and biggest purchases you can make. While finding a home with the amenities and features that you desire is important, choosing the right location and neighborhood is of equal if not greater importance.
Take time to consider things like family size (do you plan to expand your family?), pets, work location, size of lots available, access to shopping areas, local schools, taxes, property values, and crime rates.
This is alot to think about, when choosing that perfect neighborhood, and the following questions may help get you on the right path to determining your specific needs and desires:
· Would you like an older or newer neighborhood?
· Outside or inside the city?
· Walking distance to park or beach?
· Would you like a golf course view or ocean view?
· Quiet area or busy area?
· Would you like to be part of a home association?
Taking the time to give special consideration to these questions will give you the opportunity to choose a neighborhood that is a good fit for you. You will hopefully be able to find a home in a neighborhood that “feels” like home, and where everyday life is comfortable and enjoyable. Good luck and happy “home” hunting!
